Lamestream

I start out most storyboards rough. Mostly because I'm trying to put everything on paper before I forget what's in my head. So...later I tie it down, but the first rough draft is just a storm of lines and unrecognizable objects to anyone who isn't in on what I'm doing.

Galvanize

One of the early paintings I did for that LOST assignment. I don't think I posted this, but I have nothing new today that's blog worthy, so I thought this would do. I toned the Happy Birthday thing, so tomorrow I'll finish it in the next few days.

Shut Up and Explode

I'm working on a turnaround for Soup of the Day right now...hopefully I can post some of it on this blog. Here's a doodle I did for a friend, I'm gonna fix it up later.

And Then the C.H.U.D.S. Came...

Some character designs for Ghost Wars. Most are pretty generic, mostly there for shape ideas, but the basic idea of what kind of character I want is there. Unfortunately I found that the assignment this week didn't really require this, but rather some board roughs. I have those too, so I'll post them tomorrow if I remember

Romeo A Go-Go

Lots of things happening for me at school right now. Not so much outside of school life though. I need a girl, some good games with friend, and more exercise. I just went for my first jog in a while tonight and I feel better. That's something I need during this season.

This next month will consist of:

  • Preproduction for "Soup of the Day"
  • Postproduction for "Paper Indians"
  • Postproduction for "Tangled Web" (to a lesser degree)
  • Production for Whynaut Animation Studio's "Steal Wool"
  • Boarding out a scene for my show idea, "Ghost Wars"
  • Acting class
  • Commission painting something big for a coworker, who's giving me complete freedom to do whatever. But would like the theme to be "Cultural Differences in Portland".

This next week is going to be full of financial hardship, but I will also spend some time with friends, so it'll be a fair balance! Now I'm off to get some food and kick ass on Ghost Wars tonight! A project I am actually REALLY excited about. Below is a mock promotional teaser my fellow artist and hilarious friend Brian Cappella came up with after my class pitch. If, someday I ever get a show on air, I'm hiring him as a writer.

Holy Moley!

Did some sketches of what my upcoming storyboards "Mole" character might look like, plus one of the main character. More to come.
